UK Sailmakers Minneapolis offers many winter services
Every year we clean sails and canvas over the winter
We collect sails and covers before Thanksgiving and clean and check them over before the spring season your boat is ready to look good and sail fast.
When we get sails we check them over, fix any minor issues (telltales, minor stitching, etc.) and call you about any big ones. After the sails are clean, we repeat the process, checking over and repairing any issues. (Don’t worry, the sail check over price covers the before and after cleaning check overs).
Check over includes inspecting tell tales, seams, corner patches, reef points, luff rope, numbers, slides and slugs, windows, batten pockets, battens, leach and foot lines, dutchman rings, spreader and stanchion patches, hanks, and UV protection.
