Fall UK Sailmaker’s Sale!

From now until the end of October, new sails are 10% off! If you’re not in need of new sails quite yet, Sailcrafters will inspect, repair, and clean your sails. This process increases the longevity of the sail. Make sure you drop off your sails, or arrange for us to come get them before November 22nd. We are frequently at most marinas within 3 hours of the twin cities, and can take the sails off your boat, as well as reinstall them for the spring season.

Check out our pricing for winter work! We check over and clean sails every fall, storing them until you’re ready to splash in the spring. When we get sails we check them over, fix any minor issues (telltales, minor stitching, etc.) and call you about any big ones. After the sails are clean, we repeat the process, checking over and repairing any issues. (Don’t worry, the sail check over price covers the before and after cleaning check overs).

Check over includes inspecting tell tales, seams, corner patches, reef points, luff rope, numbers, slides and slugs, windows, batten pockets, battens, leach and foot lines, dutchman rings, spreader and stanchion patches, hanks, and UV protection.

One month to the Iceboat swap meet!

The first Saturday of November we are hosting an iceboat swap meet up for iceboaters in the area from 9-12. We hope to see you there!

Sailcrafters is now a UK Sailmakers Loft

As of January 2023, Sailcrafters is teaming with UK Sailmakers International.

Founded in 1946, UK Sailmakers is one of the world’s most established groups of sailmakers, with nearly 50 lofts and service centers. Owned by local sailors, UK lofts retain the personal touch and provide quick, high-quality service along with well-designed, long-lasting sails with the most advanced design technologies and materials. As UK Sailmakers Minneapolis, a UK Sailmakers Service Loft, we will continue to build, service, and repair all types and sizes of sails and canvas. The Sailcrafters loft will also still offer the full service rigging and support we are known for.

As a part of this change, we will now be servicing the Bayfield/Duluth areas for UK Sailmaker sails.
